According to PMI, 33% of all PMI members in 2011 were working in IT industry. In the Moscow PMI chapter about 50% of members are working in the IT area today. Despite the penetration of project management in different industries, this share is persisting. Modern methods of software development become represented in international standards, and information systems manufacturers and vendors around the world continue to develop their own methodologies for the projects rollout and IT solutions implementation. Developing software and engineering information systems for the modern society often requires competencies never known or demanded before. Mazin Abusin has an experience of 20 years in both public and private sectors with specialised work in establishing and operating project management support structure along with related areas such as change management, strategic management, organisational development, information management and communication. Currently a National Advisor of Project Management in the public sector. Worked on projects including establishing the largest LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) export terminal in the world at the Ras Laffan industrial City with Qatar Petroleum; implementing the Abu Dhabi Department of Transport two year strategy through providing them with project management support structure; building the internal competencies for implementing the e-government programme for the governments of Sudan, UAE and Canada.
